Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Former University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) quarterback Chase Vogler says his semi-professional team will ask him to throw more than he did as Bulldog, but added he can still run when he wants.

"They're a big passing team," Vogler said of the Bielefeld Bulldogs. "They throw the ball 60 times a game, and it's all four-wide stuff. I can run when I want to run, though, so it kind of works perfect for both of our games."

Vogler averaged 22.0 pass attempts per game during the 2012 season with UMD, adding to that 11.25 rushing attempts per contest with the Bulldogs.

The starting quarterback for four seasons with the Bulldogs, Vogler lead UMD to three Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) tiles and the 2010 NCAA Division II championship during his tenure.

Bielefeld plays in the German Football League II, with the team's first game scheduled for May 5 against the Troisdorf Jets.
