Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- St. Scholastica junior forward Nina Waidacher has been named to the final women's hockey roster for Team Switzerland ahead of the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympic Games, it was officially announced on Tuesday.

This is Waidacher's first time making the final Olympic roster, although she was an alternate for her country during the 2010 Vancouver Games in which Switzerland finished fifth.

Waidacher this season leads the Saints with 20 goals and 14 assists in just 11 games, with those stats also making her the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) leader in both goals and total points.

Isabel Waidacher, Nina's younger sister and a St. Scholastica freshman, was named on Tuesday one of three forward alternates for the upcoming Olympics.

The elder Waidacher and Team Switzerland are in a group with Canada, Finland, and the United States, with the team's first game is scheduled for Feb. 8 against the Canadians.
