Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Duluth native Anna Ringsred was named to the U.S Olympic speedskating team for the long track, after finishing second last Friday in the 3,000 meters at the Olympic trails in Kearns, Utah.
Her second place finish ultimately secured her place on the team, but it wasn't officially announced until Wednesday. The 2003 Duluth Marshall graduate now lives in Calgary, Alberta for training purposes.
The 29-year-old took some time off from the spot after failing to qualify in 2010 but decided to try one last time. The Sochi games are Feb. 7-23 in Sochi, Russia.
