Duluth's Shuster Rink Drops to 0-2 at Olympics

Sochi, Russia (NNCNOW.com) --- Chisholm, Minn. native John Shuster and the United States men's curling team fell 9-4 to China on Tuesday morning to fall to 0-2 in the nine-match round-robin portion of the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics.

The Americans outshot the Chinese 87 to 80 percent, USA curling reported, but couldn't overcome an early deficit.

The U.S. cut the lead to 3-2 in the fourth end before China extended their lead in the fifth end. The Americans will take on Denmark (1-1) on Wednesday morning.

Eveleth, Minn. native Jeff Isaacson, Hibbing, Minn. native Jared Zezel, and Duluth, Minn. resident John Landsteiner are the three other members of Shuster's rink in Sochi.
