Fargo, N.D. (NNCNOW.com) --- After winning two of the three matches in the finals, Duluthian John Shuster defeated Pete Fenson of Bemidji on Sunday afternoon 11-1 in four ends to clinch the U.S men's curling Olympic Trials in Fargo, N.D. at Scheels Arena.

Shuster's teammates include Jeff Isaacson of Gilbert and Jared Zezel and John Landsteiner of Duluth, but the road to Sochi isn't done yet. The team must now place in the top two in an eight-team qualification next month in Fussen, Germany to earn a berth in the Olympics.

If the team qualifies, it'll be Shuster's third trip to the Olympics. He was a member of Team Fenson in 2006 before then winning the trials four years later.
