Amari Air Base, Estonia (NNCNOW.com) - Members of the 148th Fighter Wing are taking to the skies overseas in a joint military training exercise.

The Duluth-based Bulldogs are working alongside coalition forces in a Baltic multinational exercise called Saber Strike 2014.

This comes on the heels of another exercise in Bulgaria known as Thracian Star 2014.

It's the first time the 148th is involved in the overseas exercises, providing close air support with eight F-16 fighter jets and 110 personnel.

The exercises are a way for NATO nations to build relationships with their military forces.
