Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Dozens of people in Duluth's Piedmont neighborhood took the idea of "summer fun" to a whole new level, with a gigantic slip n slide.
The Lagoon, as the creators like to call it, is 19 feet wide and 110 feet long.
The slip n slide holds a pool of water at the bottom of the hill to slow sliders down at the end.
About 100 people, young and old, turned out to this neighborhood to get their slid on. Some dove front first, others slid down on their backs.
Lagoon creators say the family friendly event might become an all season party.
"It might turn into a monthly event," J.P. Damico, Lagoon Creator said. "When the snow flies, we will probably stop. Although, we could probably ice it up and turn it into a louge or something."
The Lagoon creators say they spoke with representatives from 3M to be sure the slip n slide would withstand all the fun.
