Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Quilters got a sneak peak Wednesday of what promises to be a big event at the 35th Annual Minnesota Quilters Show and Conference at the DECC in Duluth.
The Conference, which gets fully underway Thursday, includes exhibits, classes, lectures and a competition.
Winning quilters will win monetary prizes while others just want to display their work.
There will be more than one hundred vendors selling all types of quilting supplies including fabrics, threads, patterns, books, and sewing machines.
The President of Minnesota Quilters, Laura Nagel, says she loves the women's history that's part of the quilting tradition.
"When you get involved with the craft the real reward is all of the other quilters that you get to meet and the friendships that you form. I have, some of my best friends are quilters and I've been in the state for about 25 years, and it's the nicest group of women that I have ever been able to associate with," says Nagel.
Nagel says people come to this quilting show from all over the U–S and Canada and for the past three years a quilting group has even come from as far away as Norway.
The show closes on Saturday at four pm.
