Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - A national historic air tour is coming to the Twin Ports this summer.

The Commemorative Air Force "AirPower History Tour" will feature 10 different planes from war-time past.

The Headliner is the B-29 Superfortress, known as Fifi.

Other planes include a B-24 and a P-22 Recruit.

The Lake Superior Squadron of the CAF is hosting the once-in-a-life time event and says you'll get an up close look at aviation history.

"It's not an ordinary event. This will probably be the only time you'll see it here. Having something of this scale coming with that many airplanes and the ability to ride in them, it'll probably never happen again."

A PBY Catalina, being put together by the Lake Superior Squadron, will also be a part of the show.

Gates open at 2 p.m. Monday, August 5th, and 9 a.m.Tuesday, August 6th and Wednesday, August 7th.

The Event is open until 6:30 p.m. each night.

Tickets are available for $10 per person and $20 per family.

The CAF-LSS101 Museum is located at 4931 Airport Road near Cirrus Design, in Hermantown, north off highway 53 toward the Weather Station, or on Stebner Road at Gordy’s.
