Hermantown, Min. (NNCNOW.com) -- Animal Allies in Duluth received $3,400 from Miller Hill Subaru's "Share the Love Campaign."

Animal Allies was the local charity picked to receive money during the event.

Customers who purchased or leased a new Subaru vehicle in December could select from a list of charities to receive a donation of $250.

Five of those were national charities and one local charity.

Executive Director of Animal Allies, Rick Sailstad, said the money will be used for youth programs and of course to help animals find homes.

"We just passed 10,000 adoptions and of course the most important one is zero euthanasia of healthy pets and dollars like this help get us towards that goal," said Sailstad.

Animal Allies even brought a spokes dog, Brewster. He is one of the dogs up for adoption at the shelter.
