Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The two suspects arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing in 2012 made their first appearance in court Friday morning.

Bail was set for the two people arrested in connection with a murder that happened in December 2012.

Bail for 42 year old Raymond Charles Weeks of Two Harbors was set at $250,000 while bail for 32 year old Joella Lee Tucker of Duluth was set at $200,000 thousand dollars.

Weeks and Tucker were arrested and charged on Thursday on warrants for 2nd Degree Murder and Conspiracy to Commit 2nd Degree Murder.

On December 21st, 2012, police were called on reports that 54 year old Kevin Tyman had been stabbed at a duplex in the 10-block of East 7th Street in Duluth.

Tyman later died at the hospital.

The two suspects told authorities that the stabbing was motivated by an alleged sexual assault on Tucker's younger sister by Tyman a week before he was killed.

According to the criminal complaint Tucker said she believed Tyman had also molested her three year old son.

The complaint says Tucker and Weeks discussed stabbing people the day before Tyman was murdered.

Weeks and Tucker were returned to jail and ordered to have no further contact with one another throughout the upcoming court proceedings.

Their next court appearance will be December 4th.
