Bus Driver Ticketed in Duluth Crash

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Two people were sent to the hospital following a car crash in downtown Duluth.

The accident involving a Stride bus and a Chevy Impala happened at the intersection of 2nd street and 1st Avenue around 1 p.m. Thursday.

Duluth Police say the 21-year-old bus driver went through a red light and hit the Impala.

The 78-year-old drive and 84-year-old passenger in the badly damaged Impala were taken to the hospital with none life threatening injuries.

The bus driver was ticketed for the violation.
