Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) - According to officers on the scene, traffic was at a near stand–still when a van failed to stop before rear–ending a sedan.
At least seven people, including children, were immediately rushed to the hospital, though not all had reported injuries.
According to Minnesota State Highway Patrol Captain, Steve Stromback, accidents, like this, should remind all Northland travelers to always be aware of traffic conditions.
"Don't be distracted, don't be talking on your cell phones, obviously don't be texting. You need to remain aware, and checking the traffic in front of you, because of the construction, because of the traffic loads we have on our highways here, in Duluth," said Capt. Stromback.
It's still uncertain if other factors helped contribute to the crash.
