DULUTH, MN (The Northland's NewsCenter) -- It's going to be the biggest indoor show the Twin Ports has ever seen.
Duluth's new Amsoil Arena is preparing to host the Cirque De Soleil on Ice... and it's going to be with the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra. The combined show will be called "Cirque De La Symphony."
"They're going to have skaters and acrobats... flying acrobats, skating acrobats, it's really going to be something to see, a real family show," said Bob Hom, DECC Operations Directors.
A special feature of the performance: Northland's NewsCenter News Director, Barbara Reyelts will be a guest conductor for the Prelude to Carmen.
"It's like going to a movie," said DSSO Symphony Conductor Markand Thacker.
"If you've ever heard a movie soundtrack without the music, it's kind of pale, and once you add the music, it really brings it to life, and I think that's the same thing here."
The "Cirque de la Symphony" performance begins at 7:30 P.M. on New Years Eve, December 31st.
Tickets start at $25, and half of the 4,500 seats are sold already.
