Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - School board member Art Johnston says he has filed a Data Practices request with the district in hopes of tracing all of $314 M that have gone toward Duluth's Red Plan Construction costs.

Johnston says when he has asked the board about the $12 M cost increases of the Red Plan, he was told nothing other than the board had talked about it already.

Johnston says his goal is to bring transparency to what he feels has been an unfair issue for the city's taxpayers.

According to Duluth School District spokesperson Katie Kaufman, the district's finances are under a microscope, and no malfeasance has taken place.
