Hibbing, MN (NNCNow.com) - An exhibit produced by the St. Louis County Historical Society is honoring local World War Two veterans.
The exhibit, which is on display at the St. Louis County courthouse in Hibbing, is called '500 Days.'
It tells the story of local men who served in the 125th Field artillery during the war.
The 125th served just over 500 days of continual combat deployment, the longest of any unit during World War Two.
A large number of the troops in the 125th were from Northeastern Minnesota. The photos illustrating their time during the war were taken by the local vets.
