H'town's Cossin Scores, Yet 'Jackets Fall

Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Hermantown, Minn. native Chelsea Cossin scored a breakaway goal midway through the first half on Wednesday afternoon, but she and the UW-Superior women's soccer team 3-1 to UW-River Falls.

Cossin's goal made it a 2-1 game after the Falcons had scored two early goals on virtually identical headers coming off of corner kicks.

UW-River Falls added one more in the second half, but it could have easily been more if not for the 11 saves of Yellowjackets goalkeeper Kalea Hatlewick.

UW-Superior is now (3-10-1) overall and (0-4-0) within the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC), with the team's next game set for Oct. 12 on the road against UW-Stevens Point.
