(Northland's NewsCenter)--A new Iron Range based website aims to help promote Northland businesses across our region and beyond.

More than 75 area businesses are already featured on the website,

It's a way to make it easier for people to buy local, while marketing Northland goods across the globe.

Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Commissioner Tony Sertich says the website will help to bring outside shopping, especially during the holiday season, and stimulate the region's economy.

"For every $1 that's spent in the local economy, 68 cents of that stays local and so when folks on the Iron Range and in northern Minnesota shop locally at our local independent businesses, it helps our local economy and not just that independent business," Sertich said.

From arts and crafts to books and clothing, you can find it all on the website.

Businesses can join at any time by contacting the IRRRB.
