Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) - Democrat, and former member of the Wisconsin State Senate, Pat Kreitlow, was in Superior today to discuss his run for Congress with Northlanders.

Kreitlow is running against the current 7th District seat holder, Sean Duffy.

According to Kreitlow, his campaign is fueled by one of the most unproductive congresses that the U.S. has experienced in decades.

Kreitlow says that, if he were elected, he would work to make sure that congress would pass a comprehensive farm bill, along with a bill that would support a true middle class tax cut.

"We need to elect people who, like my time in the legislature, are dedicated toward getting things done, even if you don't get everything you want... you don't hold the people hostage just so you can play party politics," said Kreitlow.

Kreitlow will be facing off against Duffy in November.
