Duluth, MN An annual Easter tradition taking place at the Lake Superior Zoo Saturday.

From 10:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. families gathered for the annual EGG–stravaganza Easter Egg Hunt at the Lake Superior Zoo.

The Easter Bunny was also on hand, making sure kids were able to get their hands on some of the hidden treats.

Kids were able to not only collect the eggs, but trade one in for an Easter treat bag as well.

Volunteer Manager Sarah Glesner said there was fun for all at today's event.
"Today is a very family friendly experience so there is a lot of oppertunities to just get out, enjoy the nice early warm weather this year. They get a chance to see our Zoo animals play with giant paper mache easter eggs which is really fun, they also get the chance to just be outdoors and enjoy the good zoo setting while hunting for easter eggs".

The Lake Superior Zoo saw around 1,700 visitors last year for the egg–stravaganza and hoped to reach over 2,000 this year.
