Carver Co. MN (NNCNOW.com) - Crews have pulled the body of a teenage boy from a lake in Carver County.

Davis Colley's body was pulled from Eagle Lake, just north of Norwood Young America around 11 o'clock Friday night.

That was hours after someone saw the 16–year–old high school wrestler go under. It took authorities about 3 1/2 hours to find his body after he went under.

Authorities are investigating reports that Colley "may" have been attempting a "cold water challenge."

"It was roughly after five when I dropped him off at his friend's house," said Colley's friend Steven Smith, "and I hugged him and told him to be safe."

The Cold Water Challenge is when someone jumps into cold water in the name of charity and then posts a video of it on social media challenging three other friends to do the same.

But Carver County Sheriff's Officials say Colley was at the park alone, with no one else there to record it.

Officials are investigating this drowning.
