Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) -Rice Lake first responders say the man was working on the scaffolding when it gave way, causing him to fall 40 feet to the ground.
No word on what caused the tower to fall.
The man was taken by ambulance to St Luke's.
While the condition of the man was unavailable, first responders say a fall from that height can result in serious injury.
"It all depends on what happens with the patient. Anything greater than 20 feet is considered a high risk fall," said Mark Neimi with Rice Lake First Responders.
The name of the man involved with the accident has not yet been released.
