Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - For some, snow means more work, but for others it can be a whole lot of fun.

Spirit Mountain in Duluth was full of skiers and snowboarders enjoying the fluffy stuff.

"Snowboarding, yeah we are both snowboarding, trying to enjoy the powder today, having fun in the snow," said Austin and Hunter, two snowboarders.

The snow was coming down hard all day, making today the perfect day to hit the slopes.

"I think there's about 4 inches right now, maybe, and hopefully it gets to about eight inches like it's supposed to," said Hunter.

About five inches of the white stuff fell Sunday afternoon.

Although the snow can be fun, winter conditions can also make driving too and from your destinations hazardous.

Make sure you leave plenty of time to get where you are going.

Be aware of what is going on around you, and use extra caution when driving at night.

So whether you enjoy being outside, or prefer to sip hot coco by the fire, winter is here to stay.

Spirit Mountain is now open Sunday through Thursday from 9am to 8pm and 8am to 9pm on Friday and Saturday.
