For the fondue:
· 1 ½ cup aged cheddar
· 1 ½ cup smoked cheddar
· 12 ounces of South Shore Nut Brown Ale
· ½ cup heavy cream
· 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
· 1 teaspoon butter
· Salt and white pepper to taste
Start by lightly sautéing the garlic in butter. Add the nut brown ale and bring to a boil. Once boiling, add your cream and cheddars and reduce to medium heat while continually stirring until all ingredients melt together. Season to taste.
This Fondue is served best with pretzels, popcorn, fried flour tortillas and sautéed steak tips.
