Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) - A restaurant in Wisconsin is teaming up with a food shelter to help feed the less fortunate.

Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank and Grizzlies Restaurant in Superior hosted the Hunger Takes No Holiday Campaign Saturday. As part of the campaign, the restaurant donated fifteen-percent of their proceeds from the day to the shelter and the wait staff donated all of their tips.

Those involved say its an effort that's need in their area.

"Up in our area there are a lot of people that are food insecure and that really is a big part for us to be apart of the community and help out the less fortunate that we can," said Grizzlies General Manager, Sarah Rehnstrand.

Last year the drive brought in $32,000. This year the goal is $40,000.
