Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) - It was wall to wall fun Thursday night at the annual "Winter fest" in Superior.

Children lined up at the Marcovich Wellness Center at UWS to play a variety of games and enjoy the free entertainment.

Face painting and cookie decorating were among the favorite activities. But perhaps the most popular stop was a face to face visit with Santa Claus.

Winter Fest is an annual family-friendly event.

"It's really a chance to get people together over the holiday season. Donations, local choirs, we bring the community and college campus community together to mix them together," said Jesse West.

Those who attended the event were encouraged to bring a new or gently used children's book to donate to the Little Blue Bookshelf project in Superior.
