Cable, WI (NNCNOW.com) - Managers of Telemark Lodge in Cable Wis. say the resort is facing foreclosure.

Confusion came about last week in Cable when managers told the Chamber of Commerce Telemark lodge would be closed indefinitely.

Assistant Manager Rick Carpenter said he sent out letters to 30 Telemark employees saying that the Telemark property is in foreclosure and they are no longer needed at the lodge.

Telemark Hospitality was created in June of 2012 as a temporary management group put in place for 90 days while the owners tried to find a buyer fo the lodge.

"The owner Steve Kauffman has found himself facing foreclosure which means that Telemark Hospitality who was basing and operating the business, we did not own the resort, we were forced to vacate kind of like losing the lease," said Carpenter.

Last week the power was shut off due to a discrepency over whose responsibliby it was to pay the bill.

Managers say they are optimistic about finding a buyer for the property by May.
