Eveleth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The IRRRB approved their 2014 budget Monday.

The more than $37 million budget will go to various economic projects along the range, including community development.

Commissioner Tony Sertich says planning is vital among Iron Range communities.

"How they are going to spend their local tax dollars on sewer water and development and then they generally come to us and ask us for dollars too, and we want to make sure they have their best plans so we are putting our tax dollars to the best use," says Sertich.

Also during the meeting the board approved several development projects using funds from the 2013 fiscal year.
