Duluth, MN (Northland's Newscenter) -The 2011 Three Bridges International Chamber Music Festival runs through the 15th with concerts and lectures throughout Duluth.
The festival brings together professional performers and aspiring artists from all over the world.
This year there is a major community outreach program happening with the festival.
While concerts at Weber Music Hall require a ticket, there will be free concerts held throughout the festival.
Samuel Martin is one of the masterminds behind the festival and says this festival gives audience members a taste of a type of music not typically heard at festivals.
"For many people this music is a little bit more difficult, but when they come and they experience it and they see what it is and they see the excitement that the performers bring to the music, it changes minds. I mean people, 'oh this is what it is'; 'cause it's incredible stuff," said Martin.
Concerts will be held at both Weber Music Hall at UMD and also Sacred Heart Music Center.
