Superior, MN (NNCNOW.com) - The road construction on North Tower Avenue in Superior is nearly one week underway and local business owners are taking a backdoor approach to show customers they are still open.

Through the city's back door project employees, customers and vendors will only be able to access buildings though the back or side doors of the local shops.

Business owners between Belknap Street and North Third Street are installing easily identifiable signs guiding visitors to their entrances.

One of the owners from Bear Shoe Works says though their business is a destination location of the area, sales may experience a loss...but they are here to stay.

"Yes, whatever needs to happen. We've been here for 100 years. We haven't closed down yet," Kim Nieder, Bear Shoe Works, an Owner, said.

If you're headed to Bear Shoe Works or many of the other nearby businesses, most of the parking is in the rear of each shop.

Once the road construction is complete on October first, the front main entrances of all North Tower Avenue businesses will re–open.
