Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) - The Alabama–based manufacturing company, Altec HiLine LLC., will be expanding into their neighbor, A.W. Kuettel & Sons', current location along the Duluth Harbor.

To support the expansion, the St. Louis County Board will be considering the application for a $250,000 loan to apply for equipment purchases.

Meanwhile, A.W. Kuettel & Sons will undergo a $1.8 million expansion and relocation project to a new building in the Duluth Airpark.

Officials say this expansion also promises additional jobs to the region.

"We're looking to grow, we just needed some space to do so. So, this will help us grow as well. [We'll] try to capture some outside markets, and bring some new manufacturing jobs to Duluth," said CFO of A.W. Kuettel & Sons Jason Kuettel.

Altec HiLine manufactures the highest–reaching vehicle-mounted boom cranes in the country for the electric, telecommunications, and construction industries.
