Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- After splitting last weekend's series against Colorado College, the University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) men's hockey team will welcome undefeated and No. 2 ranked Notre Dame on Friday at AMSOIL Arena.

The Bulldogs lost their NCHC opener on Friday night before getting offensive Saturday night in a 5-1 win.

Even with the Fighting Irish sporting the nation's No. 2 ranking, head coach Scott Sandelin expects this to be a good series for his guys.

"The bottom line is they're a good team, and we're a good team," said Sandelin. We've played them before, and we've beaten them before. I think it's a good challenge. It's going to be two pretty good teams going at it. Hopefully we play the better of the minutes to get two wins."

Friday's game will be televised on the My9 Sports Network while Saturday's action can be seen on KBJR6 and Range11.
