Los Angeles, CA (NNCNOW.com) - If you watched "The Sing Off" Wednesday night on KBJR 6 & Range 11, you saw the group 'Home Free' sing “Pretty Woman” and face off against another group called the 'Filharmonic' in a beat boxing competition.

One of the a capella group’s singers, the one with the beard, is a University of Minnesota Duluth graduate.

Rob Lundquist graduated from UMD in 2007 with a B.A. in music.

Lundquist told his alma mater that performing on "The Sing Off" requires a marathoner's endurance, but he was ready for the task because of the training that he received at UMD.

Lundquist and his group will be back on the show Thursday night.

The finale airs on December 23rd.
