Miller, 'Dogs to Host Japanese National Team

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota-Duluth women's hockey team opens up its season on Saturday night with an exhibition match against the Japanese National Team.

Head Coach Shannon Miller is in her 15th season with the Bulldogs, the coach in the program's history. Miller and the 'Dogs will play a squad that. in February, will play in the Sochi Winter Olympic Games.

"You know Japan, it's their Olympic team, and obviously they've been training all summer. They're going to be really fast and really disciplined. We're going to work on discipline, we're going to work on quick puck movement because we're going to expect pressure."

"Everyone's going to play, and it's going to be like a little test to see where we're at."
