Friday, September 4
Tonight the clouds will increase as our next low nears from the north. We are in the warm sector of the low and will see lows in the low 60s in Duluth and also around International Falls. We have ENE winds at 4-8mph with partly cloudy skies in Ashland and Ironwood with lows also in the low to mid 60s.
We start Saturday off with a 50% chance of showers and storms, mainly on the Minnesota side, in Wisconsin we have mostly cloudy to partly cloudy skies with just a 30% chance of showers and storms in Ashland with highs reaching 86. Hayward is also in the mid 80s. Expect a SE wind at 5-10mph with highs reaching 80 in Duluth. The Iron Range will have highs near 83 with partly cloudy skies and a 50% chance of some showers and storms, again, mainly in the morning.
Saturday night we have our next low from the west approach bringing a 70% chance of showers and storms with lows down to 67, so pretty mild! Then Sunday there’s a break in the showers and storms before the cold front gets here Sunday evening, giving us another 70% chance of showers and storms into Monday morning. The showers are out of here by the morning and we have mid 70s by the afternoon on Labor Day.
Tuesday looks cooler with highs in the low 70s and partly cloudy skies. Wednesday another low pressure system approaches from the west giving us a 30% chance of showers and storms with highs in the upper 60s. There’s a 40% chance of showers and storms from the same low on Thursday as well.
