Thursday-July 31, 2014
TONIGHT:Skies will clear and temperatures will cool down to 53º in Duluth and into the low 40s for the Iron Range and I. Falls. Expect NW winds at 3-6mph.
FRIDAY: The trough that's been bringing us a scattered storm in the afternoon hours for the past week will continue to flow aloft over the Northland. This will give us a 30% chance of scattered storms, mainly south of the Twin Ports in the afternoon hours. Highs will be in the upper 70s. The wind is rather weak, so I expect a NE wind off the lake making temperatures about 10 degrees cooler by the lake.
SATURDAY:The trough and low move east and we have a small weak ridge keeping us dry and warm. Lows are near 52º and highs are near 79º with partly cloudy skies.
SUNDAY:A small wave in the jetstream and a weak cold front will push in giving us a 30% chance of afternoon storms. Lows are in the upper 50s and highs in the mid 70s.
MONDAY: Partly cloudy skies with lows in the mid 50s and highs near 73º. There's a 20% chance of isolated storms.
