Improving Weather this Week

High pressure will be advancing towards the Northland today to give some areas sunshine. Lake Effect Snow warnings are still continuing along the South Shore today until Midnight. Snow totals in this area could reach 5-10 inches from the lake effect. Areas in Douglas, Bayfield, and Ashland counties are the ones under fire for the snow.

Looking ahead to the rest of the week. High pressure will keep sliding towards the area and pulling in the colder air for the middle and end of this week. It still looks like Wednesday and Thursday will be the coldest days of the week with highs in the middle teens. Sunshine will also accompany this cooler air so have those sun glasses handy.

Snowfall totals observed at 5:30am:  Duluth - 5.2", Two Harbors - 9.3", Carlton- 8.3", Lutsen -5", Intl. Falls - 1.9"
