Groundhog Day Blizzard stays South

February 1, 2011 Updated Feb 1, 2011 at 7:49 PM CDT

High Pressure and dry conditions will remain across our area, but a large storm system is still tracking to our south and moving to the East Coast for Groundhog Day.

Forecasts are for blizzard conditions in areas in Northern Missouri and Illinois where areas could get 2 feet of snow and 50mph winds. Drifts could exceed 5 feet in these areas. Freezing rain is also a problem of Indiana, Ohio and states stretching to the East coast where ice could accumulate to over 0.75 inches.
