Crews spent Wednesday night building temporary dikes along I -35 in Minneapolis, preparing for floodwater surging the Minnesota River.
The DNR has closed Fort Snelling State Park in response to rising water levels on both the Minnesota and Mississippi rivers, which surround the park.
River levels are at spring flood stages and authorities say they are extremely dangerous, with fast currents carrying debris.
