National Weather Service Issues Severe Thunderstorm Warning

Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) At 1:41 p.m. The National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing quarter size hail and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph.

This storm was located 6 miles south of Island or 32 miles southeast of Grand Rapids and moving east at 40 mph.

* The severe thunderstorm will be near:

Gowan around 1:55 p.m.
Brookston around 205 p.m.
Burnett and Culver around 2:10 p.m.
Saginaw, Grand Lake, and Cloquet around 2:15 p.m.
Munger, Esko, and Twig around 2:20 p.m.
Adolph and Hermantown around 2:25 p.m.
West Duluth, Proctor, and Gary New Duluth around 2:30 p.m.
