BLIZZARD WARNING FOR DULUTH/SUPERIOR UNTIL 6 PM WEDNESDAY. WINTER STORM WARNING DURING THE SAME TIME FRAME FOR ALL BUT EXTREME NORTHERN MINNESOTA.
A strong winter storm is expected to bring snowfall rates of an inch an hour to the Twin Ports and points east, west and south through the early afternoon. Accumulations should be between 7-14" in the ports. Snow Accumulation forecast for today include Hayward, Cloquet, Moose Lake, Sandstone, Spooner, Two Harbors, Silver Bay, and Ashland expecting 7-14" just like Duluth and Superior. Minnesota's Iron Range plus Ironwood, Michigan should see 3-6". Places like Ely, International Falls and Grand Marais should get 1-3". A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6 pm Wednesday. Road conditions south of Duluth are difficult. North of Duluth, road conditions are fair but deteriorating rapidly.
