Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) - Lake Effect snowfall is adding the the travel difficulties this Wednesday. Roadways south of Aitkin, Duluth, and all roads in Washburn County are snow covered and travel advisories have been issued for these areas.
Additional snowfall is likely today in the Twin Ports and Ashland where an additional 2" will be possible. Wind gusts are expected to be up to 50mph this morning and near 40mph this afternoon next to the lake. High temperatures will be in the mid 20s today with a little sunshine possible along the International Border. An area oh high pressure is going to move in tonight bringing calmer weather back to the Northland for the end of this week.
