DULUTH, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- More than 200 Lake Superior College (LSC) students and faculty were displaced by Tuesday's severe rain storm.

School officials say about a half-inch of water made its way into the building after the sump pump was overwhelmed due to the storm.

There was no immediate estimate on the damage caused by the flooding, but officials said it has affected several programs at the college.

"Several allied health programs including the physical therapist assistant, dental hygiene, synography, and medical secretary were all affected," LSC's Director of Public Information, "in that there was water in the labs and classrooms."

The school's physical therapy and dental hygiene clinics will be closed at least through tomorrow.
