Strong Storms, Hail across the Northland This Morning

A line of strong storms moved across the Northland this morning. At one point these storms became severe supporting the chances for large hail. 1" in Diameter in size, and also wind gusts over 60mph. There were not any high wind reports.

Some of the large hail observed from weather spotters early this morning:

1:40am: 1.25" (Half Dollar) hail in Cohasset
1:55am: 1" hail in Grand Rapids
2:55am: 1" hail 6 miles NNW of Duluth
4:05am: 0.88" (Nickel) Bigfork

There is a slight risk for severe weather across the Northland this afternoon and this evening. Large Hail and damaging wind gusts will be the primary threat.
