STRONG STORMS again possible this afternoon for the Northland. The Storm Prediction Center has us under a slight risk for severe weather and also a Thunderstorm Watch.
A watch means severe weather is possible. Warnings are expected throughout the afternoon as this system moves to ESE. Hail, high winds, heavy rain will be the primary threats for these storms.
The thought is that this could develop into a bow echo, the same type of storm that caused so much damage in Grand Rapids and The Range.
If you have 4th of July plans outdoors know that this system will be making it's way through and plan accordingly.
