  • Blizzard Warning To Lead To Snow Fall Rates Of An Inch An Hour

    A strong winter storm has caused a Blizzard Warning for the Twin Ports and a Winter Storm Warning for much of the rest of the region. That is expected to bring snowfall rates of an inch an hour to the Twin Ports and points east, west and south through the early afternoon.

    With an approaching snow storm moving its way in into the Northland tonight, all eyes and ears are focused on the Northland's NewsCenter Weather Team to keep up to date on one of the major snowstorms to hit this region this season thus far. Snow total projections are expected to be higher than the system that came through on Sunday.

    It's still looking like a really good chance of wet and heavy snow tonight into Wednesday. Heavy snow should begin for the Twin Ports around 10-Midnight tonight.

  • Leap Year Blizzard Snapshots

    Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) - Is the snow brown in your town? Reports have come in that brown dust is falling along with the snow from Duluth to Knife River to Alborn. Chief Meteorologist Adam Clark found the reason.

    Sunday all the models agree on bringing a low pressure system into the Northland. But in the last 36 hours the amount of snow forecasted to accumulate has diminished. With some lake enhancement we could still see 4-8" for the North Shore. Even higher amounts will be possible.
