Rising Waters of Pit Lake Bovey MN

My name is Jon Ritter, last weekend I created a short documentary about Pit Lake behind Bovey. Residents there have been very concerned that their town may be flooded from the rising waters. The pit does not have a natural outlet and it won't be long before is creates its own outlet. Please check out my videos, they have become quite popular spreading on facebook and word of mouth. Another interesting rumor that is associated with this story is that word through the grapevine is that the DNR actually wants the pit to overflow because then they can claim "act of God" and insurance would cover the costs of fixing the problem. This past summer has caused some of the most severe erosion and water levels I have seen in the past 20 years I have been observing the pit. Two or three more years of high precipitation could easily send rushing waters over the bank and down main street of Bovey. Please further investigate and help get the word out. This is a growing problem and nothing is being done as of yet.
