With all the recent media coverage surrounding men's boxing, it has overshadowed a growing population in boxing. Girls and Women. At Lorenzi's gym on 19th Ave West and Superior Street, we have women and young ladies who train right along side the male fighters. Our youngest members are 15, our oldest 34. We have a diverse group. Native American, Hispanic, African American and Caucasion, women of all colors and sizes lacing up their gloves. The reasons for their hardwork and sweat range from self defense to fitness. In the near future, some will even compete at an amateur level. These young ladies and women are inspirations among a male dominated sport.
