One person was killed in a fiery rollover accident on State Highway 61 near the Split Rock River in Lake County this afternoon. The rollover crash involved a semi-truck and one or two passenger vehicles, the Minnesota State Patrol reported.

Heavy weekend traffic was being diverted through the new rest-stop area near the crash site, which is just southwest of Split Rock Lighthouse State Park.

The accident occurred just after noon today.
