Legendary Water Resort and Casino held a Wefest Karaoke Contest which was a qualifying contest. The invited the 1st Place winner to open for Neal McCoy.
On Friday they had the finals where the top 5 will go on to another Finals in Hinckley at the Grand Casino. Where they will meet up with other finalists and out of that group the top 3 will move on to open for 3 different National Recording Country Stars for WeFest. The 3 local girls I knew were 1st place Natalia Gordon 2nd place was Danielle Gordon and 5th place Karlyn Andrews. Natalia and Danielle are sisters. Not sure who the other 2 girls are.
On Saturday they had a concert which Neal McCoy performed. The Legendary Waters Casino had then invited Natalia Gordon to come back and open for Neal McCoy on Saturday night. Natalia Gordon is a local vocalist from Red Cliff. She is 28 years old. She sang "Spotlight" by Jennifer Hudson and "At Last" by Etta James. Natalia was also a 2010 finalist for the 1st Big Top Idol competition held at Big Top Chautauqua.

Neal McCoy also had praised her performance even telling the audience if she was on "The Voice" he would turn his chair for her.
I am sure Kevin Soulier, Legendary Waters Resort and Casino, entertainment manager would have more information if you would like. He would also know the names of the other 2 girls who had qualified for the WeFest contest.
Not sure if you are interested in this kind of news but I think it is so exciting and rare to have a local artist open for a National Recording Star which can be a once in a lifetime experience. Not many people get this kind of opportunity. I am also a huge supporter of local Musicians. It was an awesome concert which made it even better being able to see a local musician perform on that stage.
