Ronald Kari, assistant principal violist of the Duluth Superior Symphony, just wrapped up his 50th season playing in the orchestra at the DSSO's May 19 concert.
The audience gave Ron a well deserved rousing ovation at the news that Ron has never missed a classical subscription concert during this entire time! That's a streak of 350 straight classical subscription concerts, eclipsing Brett Favre's 297 consecutive starts by more than 50--and Ron stayed in and played the whole game every time.
Asked how he managed this amazing feat, Ron kidded, "I've had nothing else to do." Then he added that it is really "the music, the orchestra and the audience -- it means everything to me."
